Research Engineer – Sekurit Nurturing

General Characteristics

• Entry level position of professional research engineer. 
• Utilizes basic scientific or engineering principles and techniques to undertake short-term fairly specific tasks and Sub-projects.

Dimension & Responsibility

• The Incumbent may supervise work of Research Assistants during project assignments, and occasionally have 1-2 Research Assistants report to him/her.

Guidance and Authority

• Reports to Research Group Leader or individual contributor.  Assistance and guidance readily available. 
• Daily progress is under close supervision, particularly during first few months in position and subject to review before action is taken.  Incumbent’s findings are frequently checked for accuracy and incorporated as part of project’s conclusions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Strong theoretical base in mechanical engineering (thermal, structural and materials) with strong ability to apply first principles to conceptualize and implement novel solutions.
• Ability to ideate, design and prototype concepts in automotive glass systems.
• Ability to perform lab scale level experiments using standard methods such as design of experiments in order to conclude on the usefulness of the novel concepts proposed by researchers.
• Should possess innovation abilities to propose new processes and implement them in prototyping phase.
• Ability to perform CAD detailing pertaining to his / her new product development stage gates.

Education Qualification

• Masters or PHD in Mechanical / Materials Engineering with 0 to 3 years of experience.
• Excellent communication cum presentation skills mandatory
