Research Engineer - 3D Visualization and Day Lighting

Dimension & Responsibility :

The Incumbent may supervise work of Research Assistants during project assignments, and occasionally have 1-2 Research Assistants report to him/her.

Guidance and Authority :

Reports to Research Group Leader or individual contributor.  Assistance and guidance readily available. 

Daily progress is under close supervision, particularly during first few months in position and subject to review before action is taken.  Incumbent’s findings are frequently checked for accuracy and incorporated as part of project’s conclusions.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Performing optical rendering and daylighting simulations with energy and occupant comfort emphasis for buildings.

Exposure to architechtural computer aided design, simulations in commercial packages such as radiance, ecotech is a plus.

Strong analytical skills and ability to correlate experimental results with modelling outputs is a key asset.

Should posses innovation abilities to propose new designs and implement them in real buildings through a standard product development methodology.

Masters in Architecture / Civil Engineering with 0-5 years of experience. Allied academic fields such as Computer Graphics, Physics (Optics) will also be considered.

Bachelors in Architecture / Civil Engineering with 3-7 years of experience. Allied academic fields such as Computer Graphics, Physics (Optics) will also be considered.
