Senior Research Engineer – Sekurit Nurturing

General Characteristics

• Entry level position of professional research engineer.
• Utilizes basic scientific or engineering principles and techniques to undertake short-term fairly specific tasks and Sub-projects.

Dimension & Responsibility

The Incumbent may supervise work of technical associates during project assignments, and occasionally have 1-2 technical associates report to him/her.

Guidance and Authority

• Reports to Research Group Leader or Manager.  Assistance and guidance readily available.
• Daily progress is under close supervision, particularly during first few months in position and subject to review before action is taken.  Incumbent’s findings are frequently checked for accuracy and incorporated as part of project’s conclusions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Strong theoretical base in mechanical engineering (thermal, structural, design and materials) with strong ability to apply first principles to conceptualize and design novel solutions.
• Ability to ideate, design and prototype concepts – ability to build proof of concept test beds.
• Ability to perform lab scale level experiments using standard methods such as design of experiments in order to conclude on the usefulness of the novel concepts.
• Should possess innovation abilities to propose new ideas and processes and implement them in prototyping phase.

Education Qualification

• Masters or PHD in Mechanical / Materials Engineering with 2-7 years of experience.
• Excellent communication cum presentation skills mandatory
